Of course we all know there are many shades of LOVE, and LOVE takes many forms. Conversations with the heart. My heart asks a question of Unconditional LOVE....is LOVE with attachments, conditions and expectations really LOVE?

I love this question as I seem to be experiencing a mirroring effect with it's equation in my life right now. I'm noticing a trend of relationships falling away that were once based on "love". What I've come to realize is that apparently the definition of love is quite relative and can be skewed if one's insecurities are involved. These insecurities are usually hidden and quite unconscious as I've learned.
If love comes with attachments or conditions then I simply have to disagree that it is really love. I found a definition of the word love and found something interesting. I read that folk etymology has connected the word "Love" with the French word l'oeuf or 'egg' because of it's resemblance in shape between an egg or a zero. This paints a picture for me that explains that it is never-ending, infinite, without limits and most of all free to flow and "continue." Whenever conditions or expectations or attachments are involved than it becomes diluted and the free-flowing energy of love that is supposed to exist immediately becomes imbalanced and a blockage occurs and the energy becomes controlled. Love no longer becomes free to be given or received. It becomes tainted. True "love" simply can't survive in these conditions.
If you truly love something than open your hand (heart) and let it go.
